Skills

Skills are special moves that sit in your hotbar as their own tools, right after your style. Equip a skill and press M1 to cast it. Skills have no hotkeys and are not part of any fighting style.

Using skills

  • Hold the skill tool and click M1 to cast. M2, block and Rhythm still work while holding it.
  • Auto Switch setting (off by default): when on, your style tool comes back after the cast.
  • Swapping tools or putting one away mid-cast doesn't break the skill: it finishes first.
  • Every skill clashes with M1s and other skills.
  • Skills are owned per character slot.

The skills

Crescent

12 s cooldown
  • A low spinning leg sweep.
  • Damage 6, grows with Strength and lower-body muscle.
  • Sweeps a standing target to the floor for 1.5 s.
  • Hits a target already on the floor: launches them away and keeps them down.
  • Blockable, clashes like an M1, Tough Body applies. Ends your M1 string.

Man-Eater

18 s cooldown
  • A lunging grab that bites one target.
  • Unblockable and can't be parried. Tough Body doesn't apply.
  • Two chomps, each 6 damage (scales with Strength and upper-body muscle).
  • Each chomp heals you for 30% of its damage.
  • Ends by ragdolling the victim and launching them away.
  • Hyper armor during the bite. Nobody else can hit either of you. Costs 10% stamina.

Liver Blow

8 s cooldown
  • A hooking body shot with a short step in.
  • Damage 12, grows with Strength and upper-body muscle.
  • Stuns for a flat 0.6 s.
  • Blockable, clashes, Tough Body applies.
  • Doesn't reset your M1 string: your next M1 continues it.

Getting skills

Trainers teach skills. Beat a trainer in a spar and ask "What can you teach me?" to learn their skill. Your first win against a trainer also gives the skill (if you don't have it) plus 500 Won.

Trivia

  • Man-Eater was the first grab skill in the game.
